Below you can find out more information about our Glory Land Ministries as well as programs to help your child develop the basic building blocks for Christian living. Glory Land "All aboard! This train's bound for Glory Land!" shouts Flagman Joe, "All aboard!" The whistle sounds and excited children begin their adventure from their Sunday School classroom to Glory Land. The first stop on their incredible journey is the Depot, the Sumiton Church of God's children church. Anticipation mounts as children anxiously fill the worship center awaiting the arrival of the morning service. They know they will be invited to become an active participant of worship through music , praise , object lessons , and Bible stories . They also can anticipate a visit from Sumiton's own Glory Gang Puppets . Sunday School Through a carefully selected Sunday School curriculum the Sumiton childern study and explore the many wonders of God's promises as well as His miracles. Kid's Choir The Children's Choirs at the Sumiton Church of God brings kids of all ages together to sing about the glory of God! The Cherub Choir (Ages 4 & 5) and the Sonshine Singers (Grades 1-5) present several musical programs throughout the year. Wednesday Night Girl's Clubs As an outreach of the Dept. of Women's Ministries to assist the local church in teaching our young girls victorious living while having fun! These clubs were created for the purpose of: encouraging growth in Christ, developing personal character, discovering ways to serve others, providing Christian fellowship and recreation, and winning peers for Christ. There are four Girls Clubs that cover all ages, they are the Little Sweethearts (pre-school girls age 3-5), Bluebelles (grades 1-3), Joy Belles (grades 4-6), and YLM (grades 7-12). Wednesday Night Scouts In Scouting, we know that "On My Honor..." is not only an oath to recite but a way of life. Scouting helps prepare boys for the challenges and opportunities that life can bring by teaching them the timeless methods and values of Scouting and sharing in their accomplishments. There are 5 Scout groups that cover all ages, they are the Pre-Tiger Cubs(age 5), Tiger Cubs (age 6), Wolfs (age 7), Bears (age 8), and Webelos (ages 9-10).
