My heart's desire is for you and everyone attending our worship services to experience the presence and power of Almight God; to know that He is real; and that He loves you. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life", John 3:16. I want you to have hope and assurance that the enemy cannot take away.


Lane and Judy Sargent have been the pastor of Sumiton Church of God for over 15 years. The Sumiton Church of God has increased its ministries under their Pastorate. The church is a vibrant congregation that reaches out to the community to feed the hungry and help the lost. Sumiton Church of God has a fully accreditied school (Sumiton Christian School) K-4 through grade 12 with enrollment over 700. Pastor and his wife Judy have two sons Jeff and Mark and one daughter Crystal. They are also the proud grandparents of four granddaughters (Mary Catherine, Ansley, Cambrey Addison & Maylen) and one grandson (Carson).

Before becoming the pastors of Sumiton Church of God, Lane and Judy Sargent, served as local pastor of the Harlan Park Church of God in Middletown, Ohio from 1980-1988. They also served as a local Youth Pastor and State Youth Director in Arkansas and Northern Ohio. Including their many years at Sumiton Church of God, Pastor Lane and Judy Sargent, has been involved in ministry and sharing the word of God for over 37 years.

Pastor Lane and Judy Sargent are people of vision and anointing. They are moving forward into the Glory of God and the 21st century expecting the return of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, but staying busy about the Father's business; sharing, encouraging, and imparting to others what God has deposited in his life.
